Changing glasses!

Hi guys,
today I spent the whole day around Bologna looking for new glasses.

After 5 years of D&G transparent glasses I am going to change look and here you are some of the choice.
In the first afternoon of looking around I had no luck, it seems that shops here don't care about the quality of the lens, many of them told me: 'Lens are all the same'. Of course I am an engineer and I don't believe in that affermation.
So I studied everything you should know about the lens: materials, caractheristics (number of ABBE, spheric/aspheric, refractive indices...), and I found that there are many optical lens' producers and the one of them is more specific to a particular type of lens. You need progressive lens... you should use Rodenstock; you need monofocal lens? Zeiss, Hoya, SOLA, Essilon.

After several forum reading I can say that Zeiss and Hoya have the same quality but Hoya (which is a Japanesee company) is cheaper (and have some treatments which make lens very resistent to scratches). So I am going to have Hoya lens for my next glasses (now I have Zeiss lens).

One of these glasses are from 'Alain Mikli'!! I know the color is strange but some black-style glasses are coming in few days and I am going to see and prove them, of course! :) I love the sensation they give you when you wear them!
I have to say that I use to hate French guys... but this Alain has all my admiration because he makes fantastic, High-Quality glasses. W Alain Mikli (but please keep low the price of your glasses... )

In a few days the final choice... but if u want to contribute giving me some advices, you are totally welcome!
